Nice evening bouldering at Heysham head. Started off at the stardust boulder did a couple of easy warm up problems (V0 + V1). Then tried stardust (V5). Managed the undercut start to the jug on the arête. Tried to go from this jug straight to the blob with my right hand. This was very dynamic and felt hard. So decided to use a flake hold out left. Managed to do the moves and top out. Felt nice and about V4/V5 ish.
Moved to the boulder below did the two nice easy problems on there and wandered down to sea crag number three.
At this crag tried a problem called Discocaine (V6). A nice sit down start into a traverse, along a lip to finish up a hanging prow. I snapped a hold on this problem but still got very close to finishing it. Tried the V4 next to it. A sit down start from the right into a hanging arête. This felt desperate. Couldn’t get a good sequence to work.
Sat and watched the sun set as blood pissed out me hands. Nice!
