Sully on pillar Face (V3) and Me on a V4 at the cave stoneAfter a disturbed night sleep due to about 40 boy racers racing over the pass Sully and I headed to Eskdale Fisher ground for some granite action. Landed up first at the Diamond area. Did some nice warm ups then we both managed the highball slab of the diamond (V1) and pillar face (V3). Both were very good problems. Headed to the cave stones to try another V3 and a V4. A combination of steep start, no breakfast and second day on sapped our strength and enthusiasm pretty quickly.
After a bag of peanuts we headed to the Animal boulder. I managed a nice V2 and the Lion (V5). A combination of bad skin, tick attack and bog bashing ended the day and we cruised back to Kendal for pies and juice at Morrison’s.
A good couple of day’s but venue choice has to take more care in future!
