Moved into my new house about three weeks ago so climbing had to take the back burner for a while as I got stuck into DIY. Managed to have a few unsuccessful trips out to try projects, at trowbarrow, thorn, woodwell and a lovely session soloing the routes at Hutton Roof.
Had a really shit early morning session at trowbarrow with Tony. Both of us got really knackered really quickly. I think the DIY and moving had taken it out of me and for Tony the sleepless nights his new baby had done him in too.
Managed about three trips up to thorn to try Mothership Reconnection (V7/Fb 7a+) I got really close to getting this falling off the easy topout moves after doing the hard climbing below.I blamed the hot conditions even as the Sun was going down! This problem was really frustrating to work as the slaps between slopers really fucked up my skin very quickly even when the Sun had gone down.
I gave up on Mothership as the weather got even hotter and got myself acquainted with the steep climbing at woodwell. I had a couple of sessions reclimbing problems at Tom's and having a look at an old project called Cruifix Kiss V7/Fb 7a+.
